Different Driving Methods of Rising Bollards Are Suitable for Different Places - 翻译中...

City development relies on the assistance of automatic rising bollards. In recent years, people have become more aware of security, and therefore place greater emphasis on the safety of equipment. For example, in some first-tier cities, densely populated places such as schools, scenic spots, and important units with large population flows such as governments, hospitals, and sports fields can be seen with anti-ramming devices at every entrance and exit. Consequently, the widespread use of automatic rising bollards is one of the important factors in assisting city development.

Classification and application places of rising bollards

Bollards, also known as lifting anti-ramming posts, are mainly used to control the traffic flow of motor vehicles and have a high-level anti-riot function. Rising bollards are divided according to the driving mode: fully automatic rising bollards, semi-automatic rising bollards, manually raised bollards, and fixed bollards.

  • In places with a certain traffic volume and frequent lifting requirements, fully automatic rising bollards are more suitable since they can be remotely controlled and linked with a license plate recognition system, thereby achieving automatic lifting and lowering. It is also possible to install corresponding modules to achieve remote control. Moreover, because the material of the bollard is relatively sturdy, it can effectively intercept motor vehicles from deliberately rushing through.

  • Semi-automatic rising bollards are suitable for environments with infrequent lifting requirements. Their driving mode uses manual lowering and automatic lifting. They are usually closed at closed intersections and only opened in case of firefighting or inspections. They are also suitable for some places where the intersection opening/closing needs to be flexibly controlled but there is no power supply.

  • Some bollards are raised and lowered manually. This driving mode determines the application places of the bollards. They are suitable for situations where frequent lifting is not required, and where economic costs need to be considered.

The internal power system of anti-ramming automatic rising bollards must be paid attention to when selecting

The power system for anti-ramming automatic rising bollards generally includes mechanical/electric drive systems, hydraulic drive systems, and pneumatic drive systems. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. The automatic rising bollard system is stable and cheap but has a relatively high failure rate and is at risk of electric shock. Compared with other systems, hydraulic bollards are more stable and widely used on the market. Nonetheless, many manufacturers lack the relevant production qualifications due to technical problems.
